Zoals onze leden wellicht hebben gemerkt, zat er bij Computerschaak Maart 2016 een presentje: een USB-geheugenkaart met daar op Computerschaak van 1981 tot en met 2015 in PDF formaat. Deze PDF bestanden kunt lezen met een zogenaamde PDF-lezer (bijvoorbeeld van Adobe). Daarnaast ook alle partijen die op onze website staan als PGN bestand. Op zaterdag 30 april en zondag 1 mei houdt de CSVN haar Voorjaarsactiviteit: op zaterdag het Gebruikerstoernooi en op zaterdag en zondag het 50e Programmeurstoernooi. Door omstandigheden is het helaas niet gelukt om in December nog een Computerschaak te publiceren. Deze zal zo spoedig mogelijk worden uitgebracht in het nieuwe jaar. Tevens wil het bestuur de aandacht vestigen op de wens om ondersteuning te vragen voor onze huidige redacteur van Computerschaak. Eenieder die wil meehelpen om het blad uiteindelijk te maken kan zich melden bij het bestuur.
Het Duitse televisiekanaal ZDF heeft tijdens de kerstvakantie twee afleveringen over supertalenten. De tweede aflevering op, 3 januari, gaat over schaken. Meer informatie (in het Duits) is te vinden op de website van de ZDF.
