Met een score van 9 uit 9 heeft Rybka het Open Nederlands Kampioenschap 2008 overtuigend gewonnen. Spelend op een 40 core machine, had geen enkele van de andere programma's ook maar een beetje de kans. De tweede plaats was voor Hiarcs en derde werd Deep Sjeng. Helemaal onderaan, zonder punten, is Tzunami geëindigd. Met een volledig nieuw programma geschreven in het afgelopen half jaar, zonder openingsboek, is dat een ware beproeving.
