De CSVN organiseert de volgende activiteiten: In het voorjaar een weekend met (minimaal) een programmeurstoernooi en een gebruikerstoernooi; In het najaar een weekend met (minimaal) een programmeurstoernooi en een gebruikerstoernooi; Uitgeven van Computerschaak, het ‘clubblad’. Een schaakcomputerteam kan worden samengesteld om bij uw schaakvereniging of andere activiteit tegen mensen te kunnen spelen. Hierbij is het mogelijk een bovengrens voor de speelsterkte aan te geven.
Tot ongeveer 10 jaar geleden konden de schaakcomputers met merknamen als Mephisto, CXG, etc. bij diverse winkels gekocht worden. Helaas is de markt voor deze apparaten volledig ingestort en worden ze nauwelijks meer geproduceerd. De goedkope, kleine schaakcomputers bestaan nog wel en zijn zo af en toe ook nog te koop in de speelgoedwinkels of zelfs de supermarkt. Verder worden de schaakcomputers veel tweedehands aangeboden via Marktplaats of eBay. Winkels die nog wel schaakcomputers verkopen zijn: Het Paard in Amsterdam…
Regelmatig wordt de vereniging benaderd met vragen rondom reparaties van schaakcomputers. Het gaat dan in de meeste gevallen om reparaties aan de elektronica. In Nederland is echter op dit moment niemand meer die deze apparaten nog repareert. Of u zou toevallig een elektronica expert weten die het voor u zou willen doen. In Duitsland zijn echter nog wel bedrijven en personen die reparaties uitvoeren. U kunt deze altijd benaderen met de vraag om de schaakcomputer te repareren. Houdt er wel…
After 7 rounds with 12 participants, Jonny was the strongest program and came on top with half a point more than the runners-up. Although Shredder and Deep Fritz shared the same amount, Buchholz appointed Shredder the second place and Deep Fritz 3rd. The best Dutch program was Rookie, which came in the overall ranking on the fourth place. The complete final ranking can be found on this website, click on PT45.
The last round has started. A bit early, but nobody complains. The last round pairings seem a bit strange, but they are ok from the pairing point of view. 12 participants is a border case for swiss pairings where the last rounds sometimes funny or unrealistic results. Round 5 has started a little bit early. In between the rounds we have tried to fix the issues with the live transmission of board 5, but it seems not solvable for the moment. Round 4 is about to start. Games will be live again. Major issues with interference in the game Fridolin-Rookie, it seems that Rookie’s computer is the cause but we cannot move this anymore at this moment. This round will probably see the match between the number one and two of the tournament: Deep Fritz vs. Jonny. Jonny leads with a half point.
