30th ODCCC Round 8
Round 8 has started. In the mean time the organisation is calculating the results for the programmers prize. After the calculations we see Rookie on top of the programmers prize list.
There was a very quick win by Hiarcs over Nightmare. Hiarcs was still in the book and in the post-mortem the calculation said mate in 13. Question: has anybody seen this game before?
The games up to round 7 are now in the Dutch Open Computer Championship 2010 file.
In the mean time Deep Shredder wins over RedQueen, tries Joker to overrun Hansdamf, Dolphin goes for its first half and The King tries to draw against Rybka. But no conclusions yet. Dolphin wins! Its first game in the tournament. Also Joker wins.
At the moment only the two top boards are still busy. Rybka has a pawn up in a rook ending. Deep Sjeng – Spike looks a draw.
Rybka wins its game as the extra pawn goes fast to the last row. So Johan resigns. And Deep Sjeng finally makes the draw.
